Why iDen2 exists

We stand at the threshold of a digital era where your identity is not a password you remember, it is a cryptographic proof you carry.

Our mission

Build the infrastructure where every participant, humans, organizations, AI agents and devices, is trusted with cryptographic proof, not assumption.

Our story

Alfy, Geoff and Peter met while scaling Onfido through mergers and acquisitions. Working across deal teams, they kept circling the same conviction: identity that is verified once should be reusable everywhere, and the company that makes that practical changes the economics of every onboarding, every claim and every account opening.

Onfido put real effort into qualifying that opportunity, market sizing, customer discovery, technical diligence and a long look at what it would take to build reusable identity from scratch. The conclusion was that organic development would be too slow, so the path forward was inorganic: acquire the capability rather than wait for it.

The first target was Bindle Systems. That attempt did not close. The second, Airside, did, bringing in the team where Peter served as Chief Technology Officer and validating the thesis inside a larger organization.

The Bindle opportunity never stopped making sense. Alfy, Peter and Geoff decided to pursue it independently and structured an agreement to merge with Bindle Systems. That merger created iDen2.

The trust network thesis

Most digital wallets are passive: they store credentials and present them when asked. The iDen2 Intelligent Wallet is active. It understands context, enforces policy, monitors for risk and, with the right permissions, acts on behalf of its principal without requiring manual intervention at each step. It automatically selects the right credential for each request, applies minimum disclosure so you never share more than necessary, and monitors credential health so nothing expires or falls out of compliance without warning.

As organizations deploy AI agents to automate workflows, each agent gets its own verified identity: a cryptographic credential tied to your authority, scoped to exactly what that agent is allowed to do, and revocable the moment you say so. Every action is logged. Nothing acts without permission. The result is an identity infrastructure that works for people today and for the AI-native enterprise tomorrow, all from a single API.
